This was reported on the Facebook pages of the Eparchy of the Holy Family in London and the UGCC in Ireland.
The visit began on Friday, July 14, with a meeting with the clergy of the UGCC in Ireland and the Divine Liturgy in the monastery of the Redemptorist Fathers in Limerick. The Liturgy was attended by many faithful, including recently arrived Ukrainians. They also had the opportunity to speak with the bishop.
On Saturday, July 15, the Apostolic Nuncio to Ireland, Archbishop Luis Mariano Montemayor, hosted Bishop Kenneth at his residence in Dublin.
Later that day, Bishop Kenneth met with Ukrainian children who participated in the first children’s camp, “Joyful Holidays with God,” which took place from July 10 to 16 at the parish of the Blessed Martyr Mykola Charnetsky of the UGCC in Dublin. On Sunday, July 16, at the same parish, which functions at the Roman Catholic parish of the Consolation of Our Lady, Bishop Kenneth presided over the Divine Liturgy.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, the bishop said that on September 1, 2023, the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Ireland will switch to the Gregorian calendar.
