Book about Patriarch Lubomyr Husar Presented in Ternopil
Recently, the UGCC parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Ternopil held a memorial service for Cardinal Lubomyr Husar.
This was reported by the press service of the Ternopil-Zboriv Archeparchy.
During the event, Father Dr. Vitaliy Kotyk, a Redemptorist hieromonk and abbot of the Monastery of the Mother of God of Perpetual Help in Ternopil, presented the book Christian Humanism in the Pastoral Teachings of Cardinal Lubomyr Husar.
The publication features the books, statements, letters, messages, interviews, and speeches of Patriarch Lubomyr Husar, highlighting their alignment with his actions.
The book, recently published, is the doctoral thesis of Fr. Vitaliy Kotyk. Its theme resonates with the patriarch’s life credo: “I want to be Human.”
The doctoral work consists of five chapters: the humanistic dimension of the Christian formation of Lubomyr Husar, the human person from the standpoint of Christian truths, the human being in Communio personarum, the Christian view of political activity, and the Church’s role in propagation of Gospel humanism in Ukraine.
It is also worth noting that the UGCC recently initiated the beatification process for Patriarch Lubomyr Husar.
