“Christ is Risen!”: His Beatitude Sviatoslav congratulated on Easter all those who celebrate today according to the Gregorian calendar
The Father and Head of the UGCC, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, congratulated on the feast of the Resurrection of Christ all those who celebrate this greatest Christian holiday according to the Gregorian calendar today, April 9, especially the sons and daughters of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church worldwide.
“I want to congratulate everyone on the bright holiday of the Resurrection of Christ. I congratulate all those who celebrate the Gregorian Easter with the words ‘Christ is Risen!’,” said the Head of the Church in his weekly address on the 60th week of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine.
The Head of the UGCC invited everyone who will celebrate Easter next Sunday to experience Holy Week deeply by participating in Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday services.
“I welcome everyone who enters Holy Week and is heading toward the Resurrection,” he said, “to deeply experience the mystery of Easter, which involves Christ’s passion, His death on the cross, and the true, real, bright Resurrection.”
“Together to the Resurrection! May the Lord God guide us all in that holy time,” His Beatitude Sviatoslav wished.
