This was reported by the Press Center of the Department of Military Chaplaincy of the Patriarchal Curia of the UGCC.

Organized by representatives of the International Women’s Movement “For Family Values,” the prayer brought together members of various denominations, former prisoners of war, relatives of prisoners, the deceased and missing, military chaplains, veterans, and active servicemen. The event was also attended by Bishop Bohdan Manyshyn, Head of the Department of Military Chaplaincy of the Patriarchal Curia of the UGCC, and Bishop Andriy Khimyak, Auxiliary Bishop of the Kyiv Archeparchy of the UGCC.

In his address, Bishop Bohdan emphasized the significance of women’s vocation and ministry, especially in times of war.

“Women stood beneath the Cross of Jesus. Today, women are also standing beneath the cross of Ukraine: those who are not afraid to give birth during the war, who are not afraid to live in Ukraine, and those who are raising warriors. While a woman’s vocation is to support a man’s courage, every loving woman—mother, wife, sister, daughter—goes even further. She contributes to the upbringing of a warrior who knows how to love Ukraine,” said Bishop Bohdan.
