Eucharistic Miracles Exhibit Opens at St. Basil Seminary in Stamford
A moving and educational exhibit on the Eucharistic Miracles of the World, based on the work of Saint Carlo Acutis, opened this week at St. Basil Ukrainian Catholic Seminary, 195 Glenbrook Road, Stamford.
Running Monday through Friday, 1:00 p.m. — 6:00 p.m., from October 27 to November 8, 2025, the exhibit features a collection of panels documenting studied Eucharistic miracles from around the globe — including well-known cases from Argentina, Mexico, Poland, and other countries. Each display combines historical accounts, theological reflections, and modern scientific findings, showing the enduring mystery and power of the Eucharist.
The opening presentation was delivered by Bishop Paul Chomnycky, OSBM, Eparch of Stamford, who spoke about the two great challenges facing the modern Church: a waning belief in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, and the pervasive influence of digital communication technology.
“Many Catholics today struggle to believe in the truth of the Holy Eucharist — that Jesus is truly present,” Bishop Paul said. “That’s the crisis Saint Carlo Acutis tried to address. He used modern technology, not to distract from the faith, but to deepen it — creating a website that documented Eucharistic miracles throughout the world to strengthen belief in Christ’s presence.”
Bishop Paul called Acutis “the first saint of the 21 st century to address the challenges and crises afflicting the Church in our time,” noting how the young saint’s online work has brought countless people back to faith in the Eucharist.
Following the bishop’s talk, guests viewed a short documentary on Saint Carlo Acutis’s beatification, offering a glimpse into his life, his deep devotion to the Eucharist, and his missionary zeal in the digital age.
After exploring the exhibit, visitors were warmly invited by Father Bohdan Tymchyshyn, Rector of St. Basil Seminary, to share in pizza and fellowship in the seminary cafeteria — a joyful close to an evening of faith, reflection, and community.
The exhibit invites all faithful, students, and parish groups to deepen their Eucharistic devotion through visual storytelling and the witness of miracles from around the world.
Admission is free. For more information, contact the seminary office at 203-324-4578.
