Exarch of Kharkiv Consecrates Modular Houses for People Deprived of Housing
Bishop Vasyl Tuchapets, Exarch of Kharkiv, and Caritas Kharkiv Director Fr. Andriy Nasinnyk consecrated the modular houses and congratulated the beneficiaries on their housewarming in Staryi Saltov, Kharkiv Oblast, the website of the Kharkiv Exarchate of the UGCC reports.
In the Starosaltiv community, five Caritas-Kharkiv beneficiaries celebrated a housewarming event for whom modular houses were installed as part of the NinHome project.
The individuals who received these houses were left homeless due to enemy shelling and were in urgent need of shelter. The new homes are fully equipped to ensure comfort during the winter season, featuring a kitchen fitted with an electric stove and refrigerator, a bathroom with running water, and a stove for heating.
Bishop Vasyl and Fr. Andriy congratulated the residents, consecrated the new housing, and brought gifts to help the families arrange their lives.
“We wish everyone who has endured the war to find strength and faith in caring people — they can come to the rescue when you do not expect it!” the website says.
