Father Roman Demush Is Named a Mitred Archpriest
The Father and Head of the UGCC, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, named Rev. Roman Demush, a clergyman of the Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Ternopil and Deputy Chairman of the UGCC Youth Commission, a mitred archpriest with the right to wear a mitre.
“Recognizing your zeal for the glory of God and the good of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, namely your devoted priestly ministry, which has been marked by numerous fruits and good reputation among the faithful of our Church, your active work for our youth in the patriarchal and diocesan commissions, as well as the founding and leadership of the School of Christian Animator project, we express our heartfelt gratitude and convey our recognition and praise. Having considered the opinion of His Eminence Bishop Vasyl, Archbishop and Metropolitan of Ternopil-Zboriv of the UGCC, and taking on board your merits, we name you Mitred Archpriest and grant you the right to wear the mitre,” the Naming Decree reads.
