Father Volodymyr Firman’s ordination to take place in Zarvanytsia
The episcopal ordination of Father Volodymyr Firman, elected Auxiliary Bishop of the Ternopil-Zboriv Archeparchy of the UGCC, is to take place on Sunday, August 27, 2023, at the Marian Spiritual Center “Zarvanytsia.” The Divine Liturgy starts at 9:00.
The Liturgy will be presided over by the Father and Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, the main consecrator. Bishop Vasyl Semenyuk, Archbishop and Metropolitan of Ternopil-Zboriv, and Bishop Bohdan Danylo, Bishop of the Eparchy of St. Josaphat in Parma (USA), are to be co-consecrators.
The day before, August 26, at 6:00 PM, the Great Vespers with the Rite of Episcopal ordination will start at the Marian Spiritual Center “Zarvanytsia.”

As it was previously reported, on July 12, 2023, the Vatican announced that His Holiness Pope Francis blessed the decision of the Synod of Bishops of the UGCC to appoint Father Volodymyr Firman as Auxiliary Bishop of the Ternopil-Zboriv Archeparchy of the UGCC, granting him the titular seat of Limesa.
