Head of the UGCC Congratulates Bishop Vasyl Ivasyuk on the 20th Anniversary of His Episcopal Ordination
The Father and Head of the UGCC, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, personally and on behalf of the Synod of Bishops of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, congratulated Bishop Vasyl Ivasyuk of Kolomyia on the 20th anniversary of his episcopal ordination.
“Exactly 20 years ago, from the hands of Patriarch Lubomyr of blessed memory, you received the episcopal ordination, which became a source of generous God’s graces for our Church in Odesa-Crimea Exarchate, which at that time was actively developing its structures,” the greeting letter reads.
Thus, the ministry of Bishop Vasyl as the Eparch of Kolomyia, as noted in the greeting, has borne considerable fruit for the faithful of the Church in southern Galicia, who endued persecution during the underground but set a noble example of faith.
“As we ask the merciful Lord to reward you a hundredfold for your efforts, we express our deepest gratitude, recognition, and praise. May the time, appointed by the Lord for you, be filled with peace and blessings,” the Head of the UGCC wishes.
A congratulatory letter from His Beatitude Sviatoslav was presented to Bishop Vasyl Ivasyuk today at the Kolomyia Eparchy Administration at a meeting of protopresbyters.
