“I sincerely wish you that this event, with God’s blessing, will be effective and rich in good ideas. I invoke the Holy Spirit to your meeting so that He may guide you in the election of new National Council members and help you develop a development strategy for the next two years,” the Head of the UGCC wished.
The Head of the UGCC writes that, unfortunately, all our plans for the future are shaped by the terrible phenomenon of war, which is tearing apart the body of the Ukrainian people. However, children and adolescents suffer the most from the war, as they receive not only physical but also severe psychological trauma.
“Therefore, the task of Christian youth organizations is not to leave young men and women alone to face their difficulties, but to show them the merciful Jesus Christ, who heals wounds and gives hope, who triumphantly enters through the locked door to his frightened disciples with the words: ‘Peace be with you!’ (cf. John 20, 21),” said the Patriarch.
“Today, more than ever, our Church needs genuine young hearts, ignited by love for Christ and His Mother, the Most Holy Theotokos, to serve this world, which is so often affected by pain, despair, and fear of the future,” said His Beatitude Sviatoslav.
