His Beatitude Sviatoslav Blesses Paskas for Military
On April 28, on Palm Sunday, near the Patriarchal Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ, the Father and Head of the UGCC, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, blessed paskas and other Easter dishes for the Ukrainian military.
With the assistance of the Department of Military Chaplaincy of the Patriarchal Curia of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC) and the support of the Patriarchal Foundation “Wise Cause”, Easter food packages have been purchased for military personnel currently serving in the combat zone. The consecrated paskas will be distributed to the soldiers by representatives of the Military Chaplaincy Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and military chaplains of the UGCC.
“Today, these paskas, consecrated in the Patriarchal Cathedral in Kyiv, will be delivered to the frontlines for our soldiers. They will carry with them the strength that the resurrected Christ wishes to bestow upon them: the power of faith and hope for victory,” said His Beatitude Sviatoslav.
