His Beatitude Sviatoslav Met in Rome with the Ambassador of France to the Holy See
On September 26, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, the Father and Head of the UGCC, met with the French Ambassador to the Holy See, Madame Florence Mangin, in Rome. The meeting was hosted by the French Embassy at the invitation of the French Ambassador.
The parties discussed the situation in Ukraine and the main threats of Russian aggression to the international community. Special attention was devoted to the issue of propaganda and disinformation being employed by Russia against Ukraine and the Western world.
His Beatitude Sviatoslav described the humanitarian situation in Ukraine and the ministry of the UGCC in wartime. He thanked the French people and Catholic charitable organizations in France for providing support to Ukraine. For her part, Ambassador Florence assured that France would continue to support Ukraine in its struggle for freedom and European future.
The meeting was held in the framework of preparations for the visit of the Head of the UGCC to France, scheduled for early November 2024.
