His Beatitude Sviatoslav Took Part in the Meeting of the UCU Senate and Appointed a New Senator
On February 8, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, Father and Head of the UGCC and Grand Chancellor of the Ukrainian Catholic University, took part in a meeting of the UCU Senate. During the session, the decree of the Head of the UGCC appointing Mr. Vyacheslav Klymov as a senator of UCU for a three-year term was read aloud.
The decree was read by Father Bohdan Prakh.
“In accordance with the decision of the Senate of the Ukrainian Catholic University, adopted on September 3, 2024, and considering your professional experience and numerous merits, by the authority entrusted to us, we appoint you as a senator of the Ukrainian Catholic University for a three-year term, with all the duties, rights, and privileges that come with this office, in accordance with the Statute of the Ukrainian Catholic University, dated February 8, 2025,” the patriarchal decree states.
The Head of the Church assured Mr. Vyacheslav of his prayerful support and wished him “that the all-merciful Lord may generously bestow His grace upon you and bless your service, which you undertake for the glory of God and the good of the Church.”
During the Senate meeting, His Beatitude Sviatoslav also shared his reflections on the current situation in the Church and the state.
Retired General Valery Zaluzhny, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United Kingdom and former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, also attended the meeting.
His Beatitude Sviatoslav presented Valery Zaluzhny with his book Ukraine Stands! Ukraine Fights! Ukraine Prays!, which contains his daily addresses from the first year of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine.
