In Ternopil Region, a chaplain presents a book about priests who suffered repression

This was reported by Suspilne Ternopil.

The book features more than 60 clergymen who were repressed by the Stalinist regime due to their disobedience to the authorities and loyalty to the UGCC.

At that time, the clergy faced a daunting choice: either to convert to Orthodoxy under the jurisdiction of the Patriarch of Moscow or to condemn themselves to martyrdom or death. The brave souls who were not afraid of the trials continued the life of the Church in the underground and became the foundation of its revival and legalization. Today, we witness a similar situation when UGCC priests are persecuted in the territories occupied by the Russian aggressor.
