Metropolitan Epiphanius of Kyiv and All Ukraine, Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, extended birthday greetings to His Beatitude Sviatoslav, Father and Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.

“May the Lord Grant Peace, Endurance, and Joy in Service”—Primate of the OCU Congratulates the Head of the UGCC on His Birthday

“Your Beatitude, please accept my warm greetings on your birthday on behalf of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and personally from me. I pray that you may be granted good health, spiritual strength, and God’s abundant blessings in your ministry,” the message reads.

The Primate of the OCU emphasized that in these difficult times of war, the calling of Christ’s ministers is to stand with the people, support them in their trials, bear witness to the truth, strengthen their faith, and guide them along the path of hope, peace, and love in God.

“The Lord Himself teaches us: ‘You are the light of the world’ (Matt. 5:14), and this light is meant to shine even in the darkest circumstances of human life. ‘A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another’ (John 13:34), and also: ‘Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ’ (Gal. 6:2). May these words inspire and strengthen you in your daily service to others, especially those experiencing pain, loss, and anxiety. May the Lord grant you peace, endurance, and joy in your service, and may His grace always accompany you on all your paths. Many blessed years!” Metropolitan Epiphanius wished.
