The visit included a Moleben to Saint Basil the Great, held in the Church of Christ the King and led by Bishop Venedykt Aleksiychuk, Eparch of Saint Nicholas in Chicago.

Following the prayer, Protoarchimandrite Robert Lyseyko of the Basilian Order addressed His Beatitude Sviatoslav, the bishops, and members of the Synod Secretariat, expressing heartfelt gratitude for their presence and shared prayer.

“We are deeply happy that today the entire Basilian family has the joy of welcoming the Synod of our Church to our monastery once again. This is a truly joyful occasion, as it reflects the unity of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. Bishops, priests, and laity—all of us here represent our global Church, spread across the world. We are blessed to come together in prayer for our Church, for Ukraine, and for peace. This moment is one of grace, communion, and unity,” emphasized the Protoarchimandrite of the Order of Saint Basil the Great.
