Priest for Ukrainian Greek Catholics in Cyprus visits Lebanon
Fr. Vasyl Zakharus, priest of Ukrainian Greek Catholics in Cyprus, visited Lebanon, where he performed the Sacrament of Baptism in the Basilica of St. Paul of Melkite Church.
Shortly after, the community of Ukrainians in Lebanon gathered for the Liturgy to pray together and ask for the intercession and protection of the Holy Virgin for the Ukrainian people, victory over the enemy, and just peace.
The faithful had the opportunity to receive the Sacraments of Confession and Communion, purchase spiritual literature, and engage in communication. The priest also met with the staff of the Embassy of Ukraine in Lebanon and members of the Ukrainian community in Lebanon.
“I thank God, Mr. Ibrahim Sleiman, Ms. Yaryna Chyzhyshyn, and all present for the opportunity to meet and pray together. May God’s mercy and His care be upon us all! See you soon on Lebanese land!” Fr. Vasyl addressed the audience.
