Among the participants are children from Kyiv, Lviv, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Dnipro, and other Ukrainian cities and communities, as well as from Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Spain, Luxembourg, Estonia, and the United States.

The online format allows children to learn regardless of their place of residence and to stay connected to the spiritual tradition of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.

The curriculum is tailored to the children’s ages and covers several areas. Younger students prepare for their First Confession and First Holy Communion and become familiar with the liturgical year. Older students study the Old and New Testaments, learn about the lives of the saints, and deepen their understanding of the Christian faith.

Classes are conducted online, which is particularly important for families who, due to the war, forced displacement, or other circumstances, live far from Ukrainian Greek Catholic parishes. The school helps children explore their faith systematically, ask questions, and interact with catechists and their peers.

Families who still wish to enroll their children are welcome to fill out the registration form.

“Ray of Light” has been broadcasting on Zhyve TV for eight years now. During this time, the online school has provided children from various countries with the opportunity to participate in catechesis in Ukrainian and maintain a spiritual connection with the Church.
