St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Mishawaka Begins Celebrating Its 110th Anniversary
On November 1, 2026, the parishioners of St. Michael the Archangel Church in Mishawaka, Indiana, officially began celebrating the 110th anniversary of their parish.
A Hierarchical Divine Liturgy was celebrated on this occasion with the participation of Bishop Benedict Aleksiychuk, Eparch of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Saint Nicholas. The common prayer was an opportunity to thank God for more than a century of the parish’s spiritual life and to remember all the priests and faithful who, over many generations, helped build the parish, cared for the church, and passed on the faith and spiritual traditions of the Ukrainian Catholic Church.
During the Liturgy, prayers were also offered for the parishioners, the continued growth of the community, peace in Ukraine, protection for the Ukrainian people, and God’s blessing upon all those suffering because of the war.
After the service, the celebration continued with a parish meal, bringing the faithful together in fellowship and joy.
The anniversary celebrations will continue throughout the coming week. The program includes prayer services, an Open House for local residents and visitors, Great Vespers with Lytia for the parish feast day, and a festive Divine Liturgy on Sunday, November 8.

The 110th anniversary is an opportunity to remember with gratitude all those who, through their faith, prayer, and hard work, helped shape the history of this parish. For eleven decades, the parish has remained a place of prayer, spiritual support, and preservation of Ukrainian Christian traditions for generations of faithful.
