“Thank you for your hospitable reception of Ukrainians,”—The head of the UGCC greeted the Apostolic Exarch of the Czech Republic on his 75th birthday.
On behalf of himself and the Episcopal synod of our Church, Patriarch Sviatoslav conveyed birthday greetings to the 75 year old Apostolic Exarch of the Czech Republic. The Patriarch thanked Bishop Ladislav for his pastoral concern for Ukrainian priests serving in the Greek Catholic Churches as well as for the lay people who have found their second home on Czech soil.
“Praying in their native tongue together with your interest in their fate, helped them recognize you as the devoted shepherd described by our Saviour. Thank you for your hospitality towards Ukrainians and for caring about our hardships brought to us by the occupying troops of the russian army.”
“May the grace of our merciful Lord repay you a hundredfold. May the Lord accept the gift of your service on His altar as a willing offering, and send from heaven his generous blessing through the prayers of the Mother of God and all the saints of Ukraine. For our people and for all people in your midst, may you continue to be a shining light of God’s Truth for many, many, happy years.” — wrote Sviatoslav in his greeting.
