The Patriarchal Foundation Wise Cause visits the Darnytsia district of Kyiv with charitable assistance
On March 29, the Patriarchal Foundation Wise Cause visited residents and internally displaced persons of the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv with charitable assistance.
Andriy Bodnaruk, a local UGCC priest, said that 100 residents of Darnytsia and internally displaced persons temporarily living in the Darnytsia district received the aid. “This is another good and wise deed of our Church for people suffering because of the war. We thank all the donors! Especially to the Patriarchal Foundation Wise Cause headed by Fr. Lubomyr Yavorsky and Fr. Oleh Panchyniak. Thank you for the chance to help our neighbors!” the pastor shared.
The Patriarchal Foundation Wise Cause, uniting devoted philanthropists to serve people and do good, is implementing a project to purchase and pack food packages. The packages are then transported to parish communities of the UGCC in the regions where a large number of IDPs are based and where there is the greatest need for food.
One food package is designed for two people per week. It includes 15 products: flour, oil, sugar, tea, cereals, noodles, various canned foods, pasteurized milk, etc. The total weight of the package is 11 kg.
The foundation has delivered more than 100,000 food parcels to needy people in different regions of Ukraine so far. The food parcels were delivered to Odesa, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kherson, and other regions while the charity project was being carried out.
