The Sisters Servants re-elected Sr. Sophia Lebedovych as superior general
On July 14, 2023, the XV General Chapter of the Congregation of the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate re-elected Sister Sofia Slawomira Lebedowicz from the Province of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Poland as Superior General and elected a new General Council for the next six years, 2023–2029.

The honorary chairman of the election was Bishop Dionisiy Lyakhovych, Apostolic Exarch for Ukrainian Catholics of the Byzantine rite in Italy.
After the election and the Moleben to the Blessed Josaphata Hordashevska, which was celebrated by Bishop Dionysiy, Sister Sofia Lebedovych, who was elected superior general for another term, took the oath on the Holy Gospel and received from the bishop the Constitution of the Congregation, the seal as symbols of service, and the icon of the Congregation of the Blessed Virgin Mary “The Sign.” The sisters congratulated the Superior General and wished her the light and guidance of the Holy Spirit in the next six years.
New general advisors became: Sr. Bonifatia Dyakiv from Ukraine, Sr. Petra Sychakova from Slovakia, Sister Theresa Matviy from Canada, and Sister Rosalia Paraschuk from Brazil. According to the Congregation’s Constitution, the General Council represents the different continents where the Sisters Servants carry out their ministry.
As we reported, the XV General Chapter of the Sisters Servants was held in Rome at the Pontifical Ukrainian College of St. Josaphat. The Chapter was attended by 29 sisters from seven provinces: Ukraine, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, the United States, Canada, and Brazil.
