UGCC Head Congratulates Basilian Fathers on the beginning of the Ordinary Chapter of the Province of the Most Holy Savior in Ukraine
On February 12, the Ordinary Provincial Chapter of the Province of the Basilian Fathers of the Most Holy Savior in Ukraine commenced with the Divine Liturgy at the Monastery of St. Joseph in Bryukhovychi. On this occasion, the Father and Head of the UGCC, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, greeted the participating fathers and gave them his bishop’s blessing.
In his congratulatory letter, His Beatitude Sviatoslav cordially thanked the Basilian fathers and brothers for their service during the brutal war in Ukraine. Then, the Head of the UGCC addressed Father Protogumen John, expressing gratitude for the commendable fulfillment of his duties during his two terms of service, which coincided with the difficult times of the coronavirus pandemic and the war.
“During the meetings, prayerfully thank God for all the gifts He has bestowed upon you. Reflect on every vocation as a manifestation of the Lord’s grace within our Church, and ask that God’s generous blessings continue to enrich your Order,” said the leader, and added: “May all your decisions align with the intentions of your founders and be beneficial to our Church and the people, who sacrifice their faithful sons and daughters to preserve freedom and independence.”
The Ordinary Provincial Chapter 2024 of the Province of the Most Holy Savior in Ukraine will be held from February 12 to 16.
