UGCC Priests Convene in Ireland
From June 4–6, a meeting of UGCC clergy serving in Ireland was held under the leadership of Apostolic Visitator Bishop Kenneth Nowakowski.
This was reported by the press service of the London Eparchy of the Holy Family of the UGCC.
The purpose of the meeting was to conduct a course of ongoing formation for priests, during which they discussed pastoral and canonical issues within the pastoral ministry. The speaker was Fr. Vitaliy Tokar, Ph. D.
The Apostolic Nuncio to Ireland, Archbishop Luis Mariano Montemayor, was invited to one of the sessions. Bishop Kenneth presented to the guest the general situation of our Church in Ireland, after which the parties discussed the further development of our communities in Ireland. The Bishop also expressed his gratitude to the Nuncio for the hospitality extended to our faithful and priests by the Roman Catholic Church in Ireland.
At the end of the meeting, the calendar and pastoral plan for ministry in Ireland was discussed and presented.
