Ukrainian Community in Iceland Celebrates Church Feast Day

According to the press service of the UGCC in Iceland, the faithful gathered for a joint Divine Liturgy, led by Fr. Goran Rukavina, a Capuchin from Croatia. In his sermon, he urged, “Let us ask for peace from the Virgin Mary and let us tirelessly spread the Gospel in peace. The Virgin Mary was filled with the Holy Spirit and carried Him to all the places where the Lord’s Spirit guided her.”

Following the service, attendees enjoyed a festive lunch and a concert by Anna Stanchevska. Through her songs, Stanchevska touchingly conveyed the experiences of war, loss, love, hope, and the search for true happiness.
