The find was reported by the press service of the Ternopil-Zboriv Archeparchy.

The murals are being gradually uncovered in the church’s central dome thanks to the meticulous work of restorer Oleksiy Cherednichenko and his team. According to the specialist, this project represents the recovery of a forgotten chapter of sacred art.

“These are paintings once thought to be lost. We are literally peeling back layers of time, restoring the church to its historical appearance,” said Cherednichenko.

The first photos of the restoration process have now been released. In the near future, the team plans to share more details about the murals’ authorship, cleaning techniques, themes, and artistic style.
