Announcement. Head of UGCC to Commemorate St. Josaphat’s Martyrdom Anniversary in Vilnius
On September 28 at 11.00 AM, the Head of the UGCC will preside over a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Holy Trinity of the Basilian Fathers in Vilnius, Lithuania, as part of the celebration of the 400th anniversary of the martyrdom of St. Josaphat. Archbishop Gintaras Grušas will concelebrate the Liturgy.
The solemn opening and consecration of the bas-relief of St. Josaphat on the facade of the Church of the Holy Trinity will follow the Liturgy. On the same day, at 6.00 PM, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, together with Archbishop Gintaras Grušas of Vilnius, will open an exhibition dedicated to St. Josaphat at the Museum of Church Heritage.
Prior to that, on September 27, the Head of the UGCC will meet with Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrid Šimonite and with heads of Ukrainian communities and school principals in Lithuania at the Ukrainian Center.
