Common Home TV made a story about Redemptorists who survived the siege of Chernihiv
The Redemptorist Apostolate of Oceania, which aims to provide a platform for quality Catholic video content, Common Home TV, gained rare access to the Redemptorist community in Chernihiv. From February 24 to April 4, 2022, the city was practically under siege, subjected to rocket attacks and artillery shelling, causing civilian casualties and massive infrastructure damage.
“Watching this video, I saw the wounds of Ukraine and its people. St. Alphonsus Liguori, the founder of the Redemptorists, was close to the people, especially the abandoned people. Viewing him as a role model, the Ukrainian Redemptorists are also close to the people, supporting them during the war. They show them the unconditional love of God through service: we are not alone — God is with us. I recommend watching The Siege of Chernihiv to understand what is happening in Ukraine now,” said Bishop Mykola Bychok in his comment for Common Home TV.
It is worth noting that Common Home TV is an apostolate of the Redemptorists of Oceania, which aims to provide a platform for quality Catholic video content from both national and international producers.
