His Beatitude Sviatoslav to lead a service in the Vatican on the occasion of the completion of the Jubilee Year of St. Josaphat
On November 11 and 12, 2023, on the occasion of the completion of the Jubilee Year of the 400th anniversary of the martyrdom of St. Josaphat Kuntsevych, the Father and Head of the UGCC, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, will preside over solemn services at St. Peter’s Basilica.

On Saturday, November 11, at 15:30 (Roman time) at the tomb of St. Josaphat in St. Peter’s Basilica, the Head of the Church will lead the Great Vespers with the Litany.
On Sunday, November 12, at 12:00 (Roman time), Pope Francis will hold the traditional Angelus prayer in St. Peter’s Square. Then, at 13:30, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, in concelebration with Archbishop Gintaras Grušas of Vilnius and President of the Council of Bishops’ Conferences of Europe, will preside over the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at the cathedral altar of St. Peter’s Basilica.
