They start issuing coupons with a queue number at eight in the morning. At 11:00 AM the aid distribution begins according to the numbers given. Thus, if the first people in need come at 11:00 AM, the person with the thousandth number comes around 1 PM.

Bishop Vasyl Tuchapets, Exarch of Kharkiv, says that more than two thousand people come to the church, many of them children, parents with small children, and the elderly. Those who have moved to Kharkiv from Kupiansk, Vovchansk, and other frontier towns and villages constantly shelled by Russian troops are also coming.

“First of all, people need food for adults and children and hygiene items. IDPs need beds and clothes because sometimes they leave in things they have been wearing, their homes are destroyed, and they rent apartments or live with friends. It is important to keep providing humanitarian aid to people,” the bishop said.

The Cathedral of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Kharkiv, where the aid is being provided, is located at 6 A Hvardiytsiv Shyrontsiv Street, Kharkiv.
