On November 17, the parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Zaporizhzhia consecrated a new iconostasis, which had been under construction for more than two years. The rite of consecration was performed during the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy by the Auxiliary Bishop of the Donetsk Exarchate, Bishop Maksym Ryabukha.

This was reported by the press service of the Donetsk Exarchate.

“By consecrating this iconostasis, we have taken a big step forward in our spiritual life, because from now on, as long as this church stands, everyone who comes here will be reminded of the history of our salvation, contemplating this iconostasis,” said Bishop Maksym Ryabukha during the sermon.

He also thanked the artists for their work creating the iconostasis, noting, “looking at you, we realize that the Lord is adept at calling people to life, service, and creation.”

“May God always be your guide. May your joy have no limits. May the Lord grant you and your family God’s blessing, support and all the Gifts of the Holy Spirit for many years to come,” the bishop wished.

Then the rector of the church, Fr. Roman Vovk, expressed his gratitude to the craftsmen who worked on the iconostasis.

“The iconostasis consists of two parts: one part is carved wood, and the other is icon painting. In the first place, I would like to thank our craftsmen who created this beauty: Myroslav Halas, the carver, and Roman Kozliuk, the icon painter,” the father thanked.
