Following the service, the bishops spoke with the Ukrainian community in America and Ukrainian defenders.

“Stay at your checkpoint”: Head of the UGCC to Ukrainians in Philadelphia

His Beatitude Sviatoslav called on Ukrainians in the United States to maintain their front here: “I urge you: do not falter and fulfill your mission! Each of you has your checkpoint in this war. Even while here, each of you must carry out your mission.”

“Regrettably, the war continues,” said the Head of the UGCC. “As I visit our volunteer centers in the Kyiv-Halych Metropolitanate, I see the dedication of volunteers in serving our people. I assure them I will do everything possible to ensure they have everything they need. Let us not tire ourselves so that the hands of our Church volunteers are always filled and ready to aid those in need.”

After the prayer, His Beatitude Sviatoslav spoke with Ukrainian defenders undergoing rehabilitation in the United States through the organization “Revived Soldiers.” “We will see you back at home,” said the Patriarch, expressing his gratitude for their heroic deeds.

His Beatitude Sviatoslav also met with the clergy of the UGCC in the Archeparchy of Philadelphia. He urged the priests to continue praying for Ukraine, emphasizing its incredible power in warding off the aggressor and winning the war.
