The delegation of the Scandinavian Bishops’ Conference arrives in Kyiv
On May 9, the bishops of the Scandinavian Bishops’ Conference arrived in Kyiv for a two-day visit. The delegation included His Eminence Anders Cardinal Arborelius and His Excellency Bishop Erik Warden. The solidarity visit of the Scandinavian Bishops’ Conference board began with a meeting with His Beatitude Sviatoslav, the Father and Head of the UGCC.
Today, the guests will visit cities near Kyiv that were destroyed by the Russian army during the spring invasion and occupation of 2022. The delegation will familiarize themselves with the Patriarchal Foundation’s “Wise Cause” initiatives.
As part of the visit, the bishops of the Scandinavian Bishops’ Conference will celebrate a liturgy at St. Alexander’s Roman Catholic Church. He is also scheduled to meet with the Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine, Larisa Galadza.
