The Holy Apostle Liturgical Book in Ukrainian in the Aprakos Format Presented in Kyiv
On December 13, Kyiv hosted a presentation of the Holy Apostle service book in the Aprakos format in a modern Ukrainian translation. The event was organized by the Mission of the Stavropegion of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church was represented by Fr. Ihor Shaban, head of the UGCC Commission on Interfaith and Interreligious Relations.
Father Ihor conveyed greetings from the Father and Head of the UGCC, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, who is currently in Chernivtsi, where the 6th (77th) session of the Permanent Synod of the UGCC is taking place, and noted that the bishops are truly delighted that this type of publication in Ukrainian is taking place in Ukraine.
Moreover, the priest shared that the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church has established a coordination group for translating the Holy Scriptures and called for cooperation.
The Stavropegion of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Ukraine worked on publishing the liturgical Apostle in Ukrainian.
The publishers welcome collaboration and value constructive criticism and feedback regarding the translation and format of the publication to improve them in future editions.
According to the head of the Stavropegion, feedback on improving the previous edition of the Gospel was received from the OCU, the UGCC, and the UOC, all of whom also utilize this edition.
