The central theme for this year’s Synod will be “Pastoral Support for Victims of War.”

As stated in the Decree, all Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church bishops are invited to participate, as they have an urgent obligation to participate by virtue of church law and their oath.

We remind you that 2022 the Synod of Bishops was scheduled to happen in Kyiv. However, due to military operations, the venue was changed to Przemysl, where it was held on July 7–15.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Synods of Bishops of the UGCC in 2020 and 2021 were held online.
