Volodymyr Zelensky Met with Representatives of the Ukrainian Community in Argentina
As part of his visit to the Republic of Argentina on the occasion of the inauguration of the new President Javier Milei, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and his delegation met with representatives of the Ukrainian community, as it is reported by the press service of the Buenos Aires Eparchy of the UGCC.
The Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church was represented by Bishop Daniel Kozlynsky, the ruling bishop of the Diocese of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Argentina, along with Fr. Nazariy Kashchak, chancellor and rector of the Cathedral in Buenos Aires.
During the meeting, Bishop Daniel shared with the President of Ukraine the century-long history of the UGCC in Argentina, highlighting its role and ministry for Ukrainians on the distant continent.
In his speech, Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the meaningful cooperation with the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations and the significance of spiritual support for the Ukrainian people, especially during war. The meeting agenda featured questions for the President, to which he responded without hesitation.
The President of Ukraine thanked everyone for the warm and hospitable meeting, asked that Ukraine’s voice be heard on the Latin American continent, and wished them tireless work for Ukraine’s victory and development.
