NV Magazine Names People of the Decade, Including UGCC Hierarchs
Patriarch Lubomyr, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, and Metropolitan Borys Gudziak are among the people of the decade according to NV.
With the help of renowned experts and readers, NV’s editorial board has compiled a list of compatriots who have played a leading role in Ukraine over the past 10 years.
In the “Society” section, the following people were mentioned: Patriarch Lubomyr Husar (1933–2017), who was the head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and a moral authority for many Ukrainians; His Beatitude Sviatoslav Shevchuk, Father and Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, a publicly recognized leader of the Church; Borys Gudziak, President of the Ukrainian Catholic University, Metropolitan of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, who holds invariably great respect in society. And, also, Myroslav Marynovych, a former rector of the Ukrainian Catholic University, dissident, human rights activist, and intellectual.
